Serve with Refuge Church

Throughout God’s Word we are called to lead lives in service to one another in model of Jesus’ life of service towards us. At Refuge Church we believe everyone has spiritual gifts that are necessary for the furthering of God’s kingdom and shares a stake in helping the Church to operate smoothly.

Whether through serving in the background to keep service running, teaching the children or youth, leading in worship, or greeting newcomers, everyone has an opportunity to give unto the Lord.

We welcome you to look at our current ministry opportunities to see where you might begin to serve.

Refuge Nursery and Littles

(6mos – 4 years)

Psalm 139:16 states that God saw us when we were formless and planned our lives before a single day began. Volunteers in the Nursery and Refuge Littles begin the work of teaching our children about the wonder of who God is at the earliest stages possible. Servants will be able to pray over the children, engage in games and activities, and lay the framework for a foundation of a life of faith.

Service Opportunities:

Nursery (6-18mos): Pray and speak God’s truth over infants while providing basic love and care.

Walkers (18-24mos): Flexible schedule of activities, a short Bible story, a time of singing, snack time, and interact with toddlers using age-appropriate toys.

Two and Three Years: More structured environment, age-appropriate lesson, worship time, free play time, time for response in Jesus’ presence, and a snack time.

Four years: Begin preparing for Refuge Kids with structured teaching, play, and snack time.

Commitment/Frequency: Once a month on Sunday’s, plus attend any training or ministry meetings

*Please note: All volunteers for Refuge Nursery and Littles 18+ are subject to a background check.
